Track 8 is a short zine revolving around music and nostalgia. Included are a scientific article, a personal essay, and song lyrics, respectively. The flow of the zine brings it from a big picture concept to something much more personal, and back out again. The visuals of the interior reflect my idea of a spaceship’s controls, connecting to the idea that music has the ability to transport people to different places and times. The pixel art cover and interior illustrations play with that feeling of nostalgia as well, tying into an era of science fiction film and video games that utilized low-resolution graphics out of necessity.
